Just a Bit of Junk: Antiquing Haul

IMG_1888

Hi everyone! I hope you all had an amazing weekend. Although today’s Monday, I’m still relishing in the high I got from this weekend’s haul! There is no feeling like the one I get when I return from a great day of antiquing. The satisfaction of successfully negotiating and the coziness you feel on your drive home surrounded by junk is everything!!!

I was so excited to have my mom in town this weekend. We always find the best stuff together so we decided to check out a few local estate sales. It’s great to have another set of eyes to catch items you may have missed! Continue reading

New Adventures

Ah! You found me 🙂 To old friends and new, welcome to Pit Stops and Paint. I am so excited to share my new journey with you!

Many of you may know me from My Knotted Life where I explored the fun challenges in updating my newly purchased home. I had so much fun creating a home and putting love and labor into creating something beautiful. As a 20 something on a budget, I frequented thrift shops and yard sales to add special touches to my makeovers at first as an attempt to save money but this quickly turned into a passion. I am officially OBSESSED with taking something old and abandoned and turning it into something reimagined and full of life. Everywhere I went, I saw vintage pieces screaming “help me! Make me beautiful!” Hence Pit Stops and Paint was born. I hope that this site inspires you, make you laugh, and simply gives you a peaceful part of your day. With every item I revamp, I am reminded that when things get a little rusty, sometimes you just need a little polish to make life shine!

Dare to design!
